Tomorrow

What do we know of tomorrow? Think about it for just a second. Do you know for sure that when you go to bed tonight that you will wake up in the morning? Do you know for sure that your day will go the way you planed it out on your smart phone app? Do you know if it will be a good day or a bad one? No, if you really think about it you have no idea what tomorrow holds.

"Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” 14 Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil. 17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them."
(James 4:14-17)

See we think we know what our days hold, but we really don't know anything. We think that we can plan out our days, or weeks, our years, and our lives. We think that this world is all about us. We think that we are the main character in this movie called life. I like how Francis Chan puts it in Crazy Love when using the analogy of our lives being like a movie.

“From start to finish, this movie is obviously about God. He is the main character. How is is possible that we live as though it is about us?” - Francis Chan
He goes on to tell us that as Christians we may "know" that Christ is the main character in the movie. But we tend to think that being college student #2 who walks across the the street in scene 12 of 20 is somehow a really big deal.

Well it is and yet it really isn't. See we are apart of Christ's amazing Oscar winning movie. But best actor no matter how great of  an actor we are is always going to be Christ. Its kinda like being any other character in the movie Passion Of The Christ and thinking that the movie was about you. It just doesn't really make a whole lot of since if you really think about it.

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

But have hope you are worth more than you may think. Christ has a perfect and specific plan just for you and me. See he its not that he needs you in his movie its that he wants you in his movie. You will never be the main character in the movie of life. But you can be a critical actor withing that movie. You can help make this movie even greater we help bring the movie to its full potential. Well, the movie would be perfect with us or without us. But God is using us to make it the epic that it is.

So know this. You do not know what tomorrow holds. You don't know what will, or wont happen. All you know is that God is good. He is perfect. That today, tomorrow, and forever into the future Christ will be, and always will be. He holds our days in his hands he gives and he takes. We cant as badly as we want to think we know what God wants, and we shouldn't. Because our plans or full of sin and arrogance. But Gods plan is perfect. So don't worry about tomorrow or the future, just give it to the Lord. Hes already in control of it anyways so no need to worry abut it.

You are in my prayers my friends. Keep me in your. You are loved!
