"Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)
"Fathers,[a] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4)
"The father of a righteous child has great joy;
a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him." (Proverbs 23:24)
You are my counselor, my adviser, my protector, my provider, my teacher, and my coach. Since I was born you have been there for me, praying for me teaching me, loving me. Praying that I would become a man of God. Praying that you would the father you never had, the father you always wanted.
My Dad is everything I could have ever asked for in a father. He has always been there for me in the good times and the bad. He has seen me laugh and he has seen me cry. He has held me and loved me when i felt like no others could. He has given me everything that I need and more. He has even quit his job just to keep a promise of seeing a movie with me.
He loves me. He loves me because he loves Christ. When I was born he knew that I wasn't and never would be his. I was Christ's son I was Christ's child. He knew that His responsibility was to demonstration Christ to me every day of my life. He put me up as sacrifice to the Lord. He gave me to the Lord because I belonged to the Lord.
My Dad is the greatest example of Christ I have ever seen. He is the strongest Christian I know. He is my best friend. I will always go to him for advice and counsel. He is always there for me. I thought to myself today what has God blessed me with. The first thing I thought of was my Dad.
Dad, father, you are my hero. You are my best friend. Because of you I am closer to Christ. Thank you for always being there for me. Its good to know that I have two amazing fathers.
Keep me in prayer. You'll be in my prayers. You are loved!
When you were born it was as though God gave me apart of His heart. He told me that this was a special gift and to take great care of it. I new everyday He would look to see how I was doing with the such a special blessing.
ReplyDeleteI know that someday I will have to give an account for the care that I gave to this part of God's heart.
I rejoice in the blessing it has been to be called your dad. And I look so forward to seeing how our Father in heaven will use this part of His heart that he has had me watch over for the last 22 years.
Love you Son.
